Along the Bevera: Green valley

A green valley south of the Mercantour Park, the Bevera Valley owes its name to the river that flows through it: the Bevera River. This tributary of the Roya rises in the Authion Massif at an altitude of 2,078 meters.

Throughout the Bevera, various villages and landscapes will enchant more than one visitor. Among the exceptional places: the village of Moulinet, the Authion Massif in Moulinet, and the village of Sospel.


Authion Massif: Military landscape

A former defense point, the Authion Massif is located in the Mercantour National Park. On a clear day, this strategic location offers an exceptional panorama of the Alps, the Mediterranean and Corsica. Accessible only from May to November, the Authion Massif has a large number of military remains.

Moulinet: A pastoral village


Located 800 meters above sea level, the village of Moulinet extends to the Authion and the Turini Pass. This pastoral and forest village, with wild landscapes, covers a vast territory of more than 4,000 hectares.

Sospel : un bourg médiéval


Cité historique, Sospel est un carrefour important entre mer et montagne. Ce bourg paisible au charme médiéval abrite des bâtiments où les peintures en trompe l’œil témoignent de l’originale identité culturelle des lieux.
